We offer three private experience courses where you can enjoy an authentic tea ceremony in “Ryurei-chashitsu”, a formal standing style tea room with chairs and tables.

Experience making your own matcha tea (approx. 60 minutes)
Contents:
You will drink matcha tea (Usucha: thin tea) made in front of you using the traditional manner. Then, you will learn how to make it and drink the matcha tea (Usucha: thin tea) that you made yourself.

Two types of tea, “Koicha: thick tea and Usucha: thin tea” experience. (approx. 60 minutes)

The most important hospitality in the tea ceremony is the high-class “Koicha: thick tea”,and the casual “Usucha: thin tea”. You will enjoy two types of tea made in front of you using traditional manner.

hoshizukiyo (starry night)
A private matcha tea preparation experience with a light meal dedicated for one group at a time. (approx. 100 minutes)
Contents:
hoshizukiyo is a traditional tea ceremony experience where you can enjoy koicha and usucha tea prepared right in front of you after a light tea-kaiseki meal and sake. Please enjoy the food, drinks, and tea served in a private Japanese space and in traditional manners, in a dedicated private session for you and your loved one.
*Includes a light meal (Ten-shin: tiered box, simmered food bowl, and 2dishes), with some Japanese sake, sweets, and matcha tea (thick tea and thin tea).
